'Hunger Games' Album Includes Songs by Jennifer Lawrence, Ella Langley

The lineup for the companion album for “The Hunger Games: Sunrise on the Reaping” has been announced, and it’s packed out, with no fewer than 29 tracks, featuring well-established rock, country and Americana acts like Ella Langley, Tyler Childers, Kacey Musgraves, Stevie Nicks and the Cure as well as a slew of newcomers.

Cast members Jennifer Lawrence, Mckenna Grace and Whitney Peak also figure into the track listing with new material.

Executive-produced by Dave Cobb, “The Hunger Games: Sunrise on the Reaping (The Album)” comes out Nov. 13 on MCA, the Nashville label where Cobb is now one of the top executives. It arrives one week in advance of the highly anticipated prequel film, which will be in theaters Nov. 20.

Lawrence, who is understood to have a small role in the film, is represented with a song on the soundtrack titled “Deep in the Meadow.” A song by Peak, “The Raven,” leads off the album. Grace’s track is “Half Alive.”

Three of the songs have already been announced and released, with the lead single having been Noah Kahan’s “Draw You Out,” followed by fresh tracks that also came out in October from the Smashing Pumpkins and Gigi Perez.

Langley, who has the biggest single of 2026 in “Choosin’ Texas” and also the year’s second biggest album to date, contributes “Here Then We’re Gone” to the album.

Others contributing new songs to the album include Mckenna Grace, Madison Cunningham, Violet Grohl, Noah Cyrus, Lizzy McAlpine, Carter Faith and Kashus Culpepper.

A handful of the songs are new remixes or unreleased live versions of previously existing songs, including Musgraves’ “Ruthless (The Arena Mix),” Nicks’ “Doing the Best That I Can (Arena Mix),” the Cure’s “Alone (Live in Berlin 2022)” and Depeche Mode and Karyyn’s “Survive (Arena Mix/Karyyn Rework).”

This is an old-fashioned “inspired by”-type album, where few of the songs included are likely to be in the film, as was the case with previous collections in the “Hunger Games” franchise. An album of the score, by James Newton Howard, will be released alongside the film Nov. 20.
